Kapitalska družba, d.d. paid out its first occupational pension on 14 June 2013. It created the SODPZ Guarantee Fund (KS SODPZ), from which occupational pensions were paid out until 31 December 2016. A new Occupational Insurance Pension Scheme came into force on 1 January 2017, transferring the funds intended for the payment of occupational pensions from KS SODPZ to the SODPZ. KS SODPZ was liquidated on 31 December 2016, with occupational pensions being paid out from the SODPZ since that time.
An occupational pension provides social security to employees who perform particularly difficult work, work that is harmful to health, and work that can no longer be performed successfully after a certain age.
An insured person/SODPZ member has the right to an occupational pension when they meet the conditions for occupational retirement under the Occupational Insurance Pension Scheme. When an insured person/member exercises the right to an occupational pension, a part of the redemption value is paid every time an occupational pension is paid out. This amounts to the monthly sum of the occupational pension as set out in the Occupational Insurance Pension Scheme, taking into account the value per unit of SODPZ assets as at the accounting day of the month for which the occupational pension is being paid out. The insured person/member is issued with a certificate of occupational pension rights.
Kapitalska družba, d.d. will continue to manage and maximise its assets with the aim of securing additional funds for the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute (ZPIZ), and continue to manage the SODPZ efficiently.
